small Artisan Winery tucked in a Norton Summit valley within the cool climate of South Australia’s famed Adelaide Hills. Using only Estate-Grown fruit from the nine acre vineyard, the owners and winemakers James and Taiita Champniss handcraft limited batches of minimal intervention and incredibly personal fine wine. The wines are released as they are made, in the European tradition, slowly; giving the wines time to gain character and grace.
"We make the kinds of wines we love to drink, handmade in the European style with loads of texture. We consider ourselves artisanal and experimental but also maintain a strong respect for the science of winemaking."
The owners love of art has been put into the packaging, each wine has its own label individually made by highly regarded paperwork artist Sam Pierpoint. These labels went on to be exhibited in London as finalists in the World Illustration Awards. Internationally recognised with 95 points by Decanter for the Syrah, and Silver and Gold medals in the Drinks Business Global Masters for the Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.
