First settled in 1859 it was over a century before the first grape plantings were made in The Blackwood River Valley taking advantage of its favourable soil and Mediterranean climate. The flavours of this distinct region manifest in complex, earthy undertones for the reds and golden honey flavours in the whites. With 83 hectares over two vineyards The Blackwood is the most substancial grower across the Blackwood Valley region.
