Regal Rogue's natural approach has merged some of the best Australian expertise to create our first ever aged limited edition with the release of only 1400 individually numbered bottles.
Mark Ward and Regal Rogue’s award-winning vintner Justin Jarrett joined forces with the most-awarded distillery of the year 2022 Starward, prolific drinks industry veteran Jason Crawley of Crawley’s Syrups, and sustainability visionary bartender Evan Stroeve, to turn the traditional flavours of an amaro upside down and blend a liquid of new depths. The Bold Aged Amaro is bound by mastery, merging flavours and driven by Australian ingredients and sustainability. Perfectly achieved by blending Regal Rogue Bold Red with more of our indigenous extracts and specially hand crafted Crawley's syrups, it is then aged for six months in French Oak red wine barrels previously used to mature whisky for three years.
This union of partners and flavours achieves a dream outcome of bold beautiful roundness. The result is soft, but with depth, round and gorgeously mahogany in colour. Regal Rogue Bold Aged Amaro Limited Edition brings an aromatic spice depth with lovely heat and zing from the residual whisky and fiery ginger syrup.
Bold Aged Amaro is best enjoyed as The Bold Manhattan which achieves a balance of both liquids, straight up or over ice. Created by Evan Stroeve, The Bold Manhattan is one part Bold Aged Amaro, one part Starward NOVA whisky, and three dashes of Regal Rogue Bold Red extracts.
